PREVIEW: Football Heads to LVC Following Bye Week

The Delaware Valley football team (3-1, 2-1 MAC) travels to Annville, Pa. to take on the Lebanon Valley Dutchmen (2-2, 2-1 MAC) for their homecoming game on Saturday, October 12 on Arnold Field.

The Aggies are 14-1 all-time against the Dutchmen and currently enjoy a nine-game win streak dating back to 2014. Their last loss to LVC was in November 2013, when they suffered a 34-31 defeat in overtime. Last season, Louie Barrios IV secured a 21-17 victory in Doylestown with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Luan Avdijaj with just 14 seconds remaining.

Notes/Storylines
  • Prior to the bye week, DelVal returned to winning form, defeating Misericordia 13-0 in a defensive showcase.
  • The defense, led by Jeremiah Clark and Jacquez Mabin, held the Cougars to just 132 yards and 10 first downs. Clark recorded eight total tackles, while Mabin added seven, including 2.5 tackles for loss, a sack, and one pass breakup. Shaun Balkcom contributed the only other sack, resulting in a seven-yard loss. Mabin and Balkcom are tied for second in the conference with 4.5 sacks, trailing only Widener's Jalen Walker. With 32 tackles, Clark ranks fourth in the conference.
  • Jack Fallon had a standout performance, rushing for a career-high 149 yards and scoring the first touchdown of the game on a one-yard plunge. Fallon ranks third in the MAC with 389 rushing yards, averaging 97.3 yards per game.
  • A shuffle back to Nick Arcaroli led to Alvaro Lora burning a pair of defenders in the end zone for a 31-yard reception in the fourth quarter, extending the Aggies' lead to 13. Alvaro topped the team with three catches for 59 yards, followed by Jasiah Davis and Dillon Shamanow.
  • LVC senior quarterback Braden Bohannon has passed for 598 yards and three touchdowns this season, with a completion rate of 58.43% (52-89). Bohannon also leads the Dutchmen in rushing, with 282 yards and three additional touchdowns on 62 attempts. R-Sophomore Logan Klitsch has seen action in three games, completing 12 passes.
  • Tailback Dion Bryant has contributed, netting 98 yards and two touchdowns.
  • Juniors DeShawn Wilson and Alex Vassallo lead the receiving corps with 171 and 152 yards, respectively.
  • D3 week 1 Team of the Week kicker Tim Kissinger is 5-7 this season, including two successful kicks from over 50 yards, with a program record 56-yarder coming in a week one loss to Franklin & Marshall.
  • As a team, the Dutchmen average 28.3 points per game while allowing 27.3. The defense is led by senior Brody Robinson, who has accumulated 25 tackles. Three different Dutchmen have recorded interceptions: Ryan Enright, Nick Morder, and Evan Kutzler
