Feliciano Paces Aggies to First Conference Victory of the Season

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Ciana Feliciano led the Delaware Valley women's basketball team draining 17 points with 13 coming in the final quarter to push the Aggies to a 26-point victory over Misericorida, 62-36, on Wednesday night.
 
DelVal improves to 10-2 on the season while the victory puts them at a 1-0 start for MAC Freedom play. The Aggies remain a perfect 6-0 when hosting its opponents this season at James Work Gymnasium.
 
The Cougars held the Aggies scoreless through the first four minutes mounting a four-point lead cut in half by Haley Keenan off a layup from a stolen ball by Ciana Feliciano. DelVal's defense forced three more turnovers over the next two minutes capitalizing with 10 unanswered points to take an eight-point advantage and force a Misericordia timeout with 3:34 remaining in the frame. The Cougars ended the first with a small 3-2 run to cut the deficit to seven, 14-7.
 
Misericordia wouldn't get closer than two in the first three minutes of the frame with a Taylor Richardson layup from Aubrey Ennis starting the Aggies on a 6-0 run to build up an eight-point lead, 20-12. The Cougars put up five points over the next minute holding the Aggies to two before a three-minute scoring drought occurred ended by a Maisie Neuber layup at 2:28 to five DelVal a seven-point lead, 24-17. The teams went 4-4 to end the half with the Aggies remaining in the lead by seven, 28-21.
 
Maisie Neuber, Alexis Wright and Feliciano combined for nine unanswered points to start the first 4:30 of the half to help DelVal to a 16-point advantage. The Cougars held the 5-2 edge through the end of the third to cut the Aggies lead to 13, 41-28.
 
Feliciano drained the three-pointer to get the final quarter started followed up by a blocked shot paired with the fastbreak layup to put the Aggies ahead by 18 in the first two minutes, 46-28. Feliciano and Keenan combined for 12 of DelVal's 16 points to hold the Aggies to a 26-point advantage, 62-36, to end the game.
