NEW TRIPOLI (Pa.) – Competing for the second time in three days and the third in the last seven days, the Delaware Valley University men's golf team carded a 345 team score to earn eighth place at the Moravian Spring Classic on Wednesday.
The 12 teams played at Olde Homestead Golf Course with a par of 72 at 6,710 yards. The course rating is 132 and the slope is 72.5.
The Aggies top-four scorers all broke 90 and finished within four strokes of each other. Robert Meredith paced the group with a 12-over, 84 for a tied-23rd finish. Greg Gipe followed with an 86 (+14), Ethan Saxe an 87, and Jake Kinzer an 88. Ryan Foley was DelVal's fifth golfer and he posted a 102.
Meredith birdied the two par-fives on the back nine and made four pars on the front nine as he went 42-42 for his 84.
Scranton won the tournament with a team score of 314 as it placed Ethan Zawatski as the top individual with a 2-over par, 74.
