Men's Golf Finishes Fourth At Muhlenberg Invitational

ALLENTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University men's golf team posted a team score of 326 to finish fourth of 11 at Lehigh Country Club, the site of the Muhlenberg Invitational, on Monday.

Conditions were clear with moderate winds and the track played to 6,415 and a par-70.

Junior Ethan Saxe posted his third-straight sub-80 round and led the team with a top-five finish on Monday as he carded a 5-over par, 75, to finish tied-fifth. Saxe birdied the par-3 third and was even through five holes en route to a 38 on the front nine. He had three bogeys on the back before a birdie on 18 gave him a 37 coming in.

Robert Meredith and Jake Kinzer finished in close order as Meredith carded a 79 and Kinzer, an 81. Meredith earned a tied-14th finish and Kinzer was 16th.

Meredith shot a 41 and a 38 with his lone birdie coming on the par-4, 15th. Kinzer birdied the third hole and the 540-yard par five, sixth and carded a 39 on the front.

Ryan Foley and Mark Gates finished with a 91 and 93, respectively.

Dickinson won the team title with a 17-over, 297, as a team. Albright followed with a 314 and Moravian was six strokes better than DelVal with a 320. Jake Haberstumpf had the individual low round with a 68 (-2).

The Aggies will be back in action on Wednesday, April 5th at Old Homestead Golf Club for the Moravian Spring Classic.
