GAME ONE
Lycoming (6-13, 4-6) got the bats started in the top of the first with two runs on an RBI groundout and an RBI single. In the bottom of the second, the Aggies loaded the bases for Jonathan Drews and the sophomore came through with a bases clearing double to put DelVal ahead 3-2 after two innings.
In the top of the fourth, the Warriors pushed across five runs with five hits, but were gifted a longer inning with the help of a pair of Aggie errors. Lycoming added another run in the top of the fifth with a double steal of second base and home to lead 8-3.
The Aggies (6-13, 1-8) bats woke up in the bottom of the fifth when they used two hits and five walks to push across four runs to trail 8-7. Bobby Bright brought home the first run with an RBI walk and Garrett Zimmerman followed with an RBI single. Kenny Tunison hit a sacrifice fly to right field and Jonathan Drews walked home the fourth run of the inning for DelVal.
In the top of the sixth, the Aggies looked to have kept the Warrior scoreless, but a two-out error brought home a run and extended the inning. Joey Trout was the next batter after the error and plated two runs with a single, giving the Warriors an 11-7 lead. The visitors added their 12th and final run in the top of the seventh with a sacrifice fly.
Jonathan Drews led the Aggies, going 3-for-4 with a double, four RBIs and a walk. Garrett Zimmerman and Bobby Bright each added two hits for DelVal in game one.
Braden Campbell led the Warriors' offense with a 3-for-5 game with three runs scored.
GAME TWO
Lycoming plated the first run of the game in the top of the first despite having no hits when Jake Schilling brought home a run with a ground ball that was bobbled. Schilling singled in the third to bring home another run and an error on the play allowed a second runner to score on the play, giving Lycoming a 3-0 lead in the top of the third.
In the bottom of the third, Bobby Bright got the Aggies on the board with an RBI infield single to shortstop to score Jonathan Drews, cutting the deficit to 3-1. Nick Reeder got the run back quickly for the Warriors with an RBI double in the top of the fourth inning, extending the lead to 4-1.
DelVal cut into the lead in the fifth when Blake Ramos scored on a double play ball to make the score 4-2. In the sixth, Sean Gledhill led off with a single and Kenny Tunison followed with a double to put runners on second and third with nobody out. After a strikeout, Nate Rice delivered a game-tying, two-run single to left to even the score at 4-4.
In the top of the seventh, Lycoming threatened immediately with the leadoff runner reaching after being hit by a pitch. The Warriors eventually put runners on second and third with two outs when Reeder singled up the middle to take a 6-4 lead. Jake Schilling pitched a flawless bottom of the seventh to secure his first save of the season.
Bobby Bright led the Aggies with two hits and an RBI.
Nick Reeder led the Lycoming offense going 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored, three RBIs and two walks.
The Aggies will be back in action Tuesday, April 4th for a home doubleheader against Arcadia at 12 p.m.
