BUCKINGHAM (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University men's golf team competed for the second-straight day and came away with a 327-340 victory over Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) foe DeSales University.
The Aggies hosted the dual at Lookaway Golf Club in Buckingham on a chilly and breezy Tuesday. The course played to a par 72 at 6,605 yards. For DelVal, it was the third-straight dual win over DeSales this season.
The Bulldogs had the low individual round of the day with Jim Kelly firing a six-over par, 78. However, five of the next six finishers all represented the Green and Gold.
Ethan Saxe and Greg Gipe led the way with eight-over par rounds of 80 to finish tied-2nd, while Jake Kinzer posted an 82 for fifth. Nick Lienhard and Robert Meredith followed in consecutive order with respectable rounds of 84 and 85, respectively. Ryan Foley and Mark Gates penciled in rounds of 88 (+16) while Austin Bach (93) and Lucas Baldinger (94) shot 21 and 22-over par. Bryce Wyda rounded out the group with a 24-over par, 96.
Saxe, Gipe, Kinzer, and Meredith contributed to the team score while the others competed as individuals.
The next time the Aggies compete will be at the two-day MAC Championship tournament beginning on Friday, April 21 at Huntsville Golf Club.
