MACUNGIE (Pa.)--- The Delaware Valley men's golf team battled DeSales at Brookside Country Club and came away with a 322-329 victory in their first competition of the spring season.
On a cold day where golfers had to battle temperatures in the low 40's, the course played 6,534 yards at a par 71.
The Aggies were led by Ethan Saxe who shot 78 to lead the way. Jake Kinzer followed right behind Saxe with a 79 and Robby Meredith penciled in 81. Ryan Foley rounded out the top four for the Aggies with a score of 84.
Individually, Greg Gipe and Austin Bach also competed for Delaware Valley. Gipe carded a 12-over par, 83 while Bach finished with a 97.
DelVal will return to action at the Muhlenberg Spring Invitational on Monday, April 3rd at Lehigh Country Club at 12 p.m.
