Preview: Men's Basketball Tips Off 2023-24 Season Tomorrow Against Wilson

| By:

Doylestown, Pa. - Delaware Valley men's basketball kicks off their 2023-24 campaign this weekend at the Hood College Tip-Off Tournament.

The Aggies look to get back into the playoffs after missing out last season by a single game, finishing 12-13 overall and 7-9 in the MAC Freedom.

The conference will look different this year with the departure of Lycoming and Wilkes leaving for the Landmark Conference. To rebalance the MAC, Lebanon Valley will transfer from the Commonwealth to the Freedom to make eight teams per division. The Dutchman finished the 2023-24 season 7-18 overall, and 5-11 in the Commonwealth. The Aggies saw LVC last season for a non-conference battle, falling 84-70.

The Aggies kick off the new year, beginning conference play, hosting Misericordia on Wednesday, Jan. 3 in James Work Gymnasium.

DelVal returns all five of their top scorers from a year ago in Justin Savage, Godly Marc, Tyriq Toney-Bailey, Jordan Gombs, and Goddy Marc. Along with four first-years, the Aggies bring in graduate student Colin Macadams who played the last two seasons off the bench at Southern New Hampshire University. Macadams spent his first year at PSAC school California University of Pa. where he was named three-time rookie of the week during the 2018-19 season.

Head Coach Muhamadou Kaba begins his third season guiding the Aggies. We sat down with Kaba to get his thoughts on the season ahead.
