Women’s Basketball Cruises to 66 Point Victory Over FDU-Florham

DOYLESTOWN (Pa.)--- The Delaware Valley women's basketball got out to a fast start and led wire-to-wire for a 82-16 victory over the visiting Devils from FDU-Florham.

After the Aggies (9-8, 5-3) held a 5-3 lead after three minutes, the hosts finished off the first quarter on a 19-1 run over the final seven minutes to lead 24-4. The Aggies shot 48% over the first minutes while winning the turnover battle 12-3.

It was much of the same in the second quarter as DelVal continued to shoot well, knocking down 57% of their shots while holding the Devils to just 17%. The Aggies forced nine more turnovers in the quarter while committing just two of their own as they led 51-10 at the break.

The Aggies won the third quarter 15-0 while outrebounding the Devils 18-8 to lead 66-10. The fourth quarter belonged to the hosts as well, winning the final ten minutes 16-6.

Sophie Chevres led the way for the Aggies scoring 12 of her game-high 16 points in the first quarter. She added five rebounds and three assists and shot a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor. Ciana Feliciano scored a career-high 15 points to go with five rebounds. Maisie Neuber chipped in 12 points and added nine rebounds and four assists. Tori Bockrath added ten points and Alexis Wright had a game-high 12 rebounds. Every Aggie scored and tallied at least one assist in the game.

The Aggies will be back in action Saturday, January 21st at 1 p.m. for a home contest against King's.
