Reigning MAC Football Champions Announce 2022 Schedule

Full 2022 Schedule

DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University football team will begin its drive for five-straight Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships and NCAA Playoff berths when it opens the 2022 campaign on Saturday, September 3 at home against Westminster College.

Fans of DelVal football will be treated to a home season opener for the first time since 2017 when the Aggies welcome the Titans of Westminster (Pa.) to Doylestown on September 3, a team they program has never challenged before.

A member of the President's Athletic Conference (PAC), the Titans went 8-3 last year and 8-1 in conference play, including a season opening non-conference setback to eventual national champion Mount Union, 48-7. Their other regular season blemish came at PAC foe Carnegie Mellon, 34-10, who went on to win the conference. Despite not earning an at-large bid to the NCAA Playoffs, Westminster earned an ECAC postseason bowl game where it suffered a 21-3 defeat to Hobart.

In week two, the Aggies take to the road for one more non-conference game at Montclair State University on September 10. It will be the 19th meeting between the Red Hawks and the Aggies on the gridiron. They met a year ago in Doylestown, with the Aggies claiming a convincing 26-2 victory.

September 17th begins the MAC title defense for the Green and Gold as they head to King's College for the conference opener and a 1 p.m. kickoff. In addition to the title defense, the Aggies put their record 36-game conference win-streak on the line.

The team returns home in week four to take on the Misericordia University Cougars on September 24th before heading to Owings Mills, Maryland for a MAC showdown against the Stevenson University Mustangs. The Mustangs are the last conference opponent to defeat DelVal as they earned a 19-0 shutout over the Aggies back on October 22, 2016.

Over the next three weeks of the season, DelVal football will play a pair of home games against Lycoming College (October 8) and Wilkes University (October 22) with a road contest at Lebanon Valley College (October 15) sandwiched in between. The October 22nd matchup with the Colonels will be celebrated with homecoming festivities throughout campus and at halftime.

DelVal will take its bye week on October 29th before hosting FDU-Florham on November 5th at 12 p.m. The regular season will conclude with the annual Keystone Cup rivalry game at Widener University on November 12th at 12 p.m.
