GLENSIDE (PA)--- The Delaware Valley women's lacrosse team traveled to Arcadia University for a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom contest and came out on the losing side, 22-5.
The Knights (7-6, 4-0) came out clicking on all cylinders, as Maddie Ruger scored the game's first goal 38 seconds in. The hosts would go on to score nine consecutive goals to finish the quarter, including four straight from Ashley Starkey to head to the second.
The Aggies (1-9, 0-4) got on the board first over the next 15 minutes, when Jaden Keefer scored off a pass from Kyra McKeegan. Keefer and McKeegan would each add another goal in the frame, along with TJ Smith. Arcadia scored four of their own, as they held a 14-4 lead into the break.
After a quick Knights' goal, Susan Rawding found the back of the net for DelVal's lone goal of the second half before Arcadia finished the game with the last seven tallies to win 22-5.
Kyra McKeegan and Jaden Keefer each scored two points for DelVal.
Ashley Starkey led the game with five goals for the Knights, while Morganne Dee and Gianna Dinofa each scored three.
The Aggies will head to Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, April 13th for a non-conference game at 4 p.m. before returning to MAC Freedom play at King's College on Wednesday, April 20th.
