Men's Soccer Falls To FDU-Florham In MAC Freedom Play At Home

Box Score

DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom foe FDU-Florham under the lights in Doylestown on Saturday night.

The Aggies fell to 6-4 overall and 1-2 in league play while the Devils improved to 6-2-3 and 1-0-1 in conference.

FDU-Florham scored both its goals in the first half with skilled offensive plays. Just 10 minutes into the game, the Devils played give-and-go at the top of the box before Ryan Maguire slid a pass across the six to Irfan Kermalli for an easy tap-in goal and a 1-0 lead.

Then with five minutes left in the half, Maguire danced around three defenders and finished with a right foot along the ground that found the inside of the far post to make it 2-0.

DelVal was held to two shots the rest of the way and one corner attempt as the visitors completed the shutout.

The Aggies will look to bounce-back at Stevens Institute of Technology at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night.
