Nick Brady Named Division III Coordinator Of The Year

Delaware Valley University football defensive coordinator Nick Brady has been named the Division III Coordinator of the Year by Footballscoop.com as presented by AstroTurf.

Brady and the Aggies defense were the top-unit in all of Division III all season and finished ranked number one in nine different categories including rush defense, pass defense, total defense, and scoring defense. To boot, Brady's squad finished inside the top three in another three categories and top-10 in another two.

Individually, 9-of-11 starters earned all-Middle Atlantic Conference honors with eight All-Region stars and four All-Americans. Senior linebacker Anthony Tedesco was named the MAC Defensive Player of the Year and junior defensive end Yusuf Aladinov was the Region 1 Defensive Player of the Year. Junior corner back Jamir Prevard led all players in Division III with nine interceptions, Aladinov finished second in the country with five fumble recoveries and 12th with 1.9 tackles for loss per game.

A 2004 graduate, Brady just completed his 12th year on the coaching staff with the Aggies and his sixth as defensive coordinator and assistant head coach. Since taking over defensive duties, Brady has coached 42 All-conference players, three MAC Defensive Player of the Years, two regional Defensive Player of the Years, nine All-Americans, and 14 all-region honorees and his units have never allowed more than 14 points per game in a season.

The 2021 DelVal football team won its fourth consecutive MAC Championship and NCAA Playoff berth and finished with a perfect 10-0 mark in the regular season and 11-1 mark overall.
