Aggies Campaign Comes To End In Quarterfinal Loss At FDU-Florham

MADISON (Nj.) -- The Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team saw its 2021 campaign come to an end in the quarterfinals round of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom quarterfinals. The number-one seed Devils (14-0) defeated the eighth-seeded Aggies (0-12), 22-2. 

FDU-Florham scored early and often in this game as it got out to a 10-0 lead 10:05 into the game. The Devils maintained a 15-0 lead at the break and added five more through the first 23:10 of the second half. 

Senior Jaden Keefer and junior Gabrielle Borst scored in the waning minutes of regulation for DelVal for their eighth and third goals of the season, respectively. Amanda McKeegan, the team's leading point scorer this season, picked up an assist. McKeegan finished her career as the program's all-time leading scorer with 135 points, second all-time in goals (103), and tied-second all-time in assists (32). 

Nycole Hale led the team defensively with three ground balls and senior Sabrina Butler had two caused turnovers. Butler will entered the Aggies' record book with the fifth-most assists all-time, 23. Shannon Hood made 11 saves in goal. 

Maddy Apap made six saves for FDU and Kylee Garcia led the way with two goals and three assists for five points as 10 different registered a point.
