24 Hours Out: Previewing #7/#10 DelVal Football vs. King's College

2021 Delaware Valley University Football

Game #5 vs. King's College Monarchs

Saturday, October 9 - 1 p.m.

Robert A. Lipinski Field at James Work Memorial Stadium

Doylestown, Pa.

DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The 7th/10th ranked Delaware Valley University football team returns home in search of its fifth-straight win to start 2021 campaign as it welcomes Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) foe King's College to town for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

The Aggies enter week six a perfect 4-0 overall and 2-0 in MAC play. They rank 7th in Division III football according to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll and 10th in the latest D3football.com poll.

DelVal maintained its spot in each of last week's polls after its 32-7 triumph at conference rival Lycoming College last Saturday. The Aggies trailed the Warriors 7-6 at halftime, but five forced turnovers in the second half and 26 unanswered points propelled the team to a comfortable victory.

A win over the Monarchs on Saturday would extend DelVal's record win-streak against MAC opponents to 31 in a row as it continues its defense of three-straight conference titles. The last time the Aggies lost to a league opponent was week seven of 2016 (October 22, 2016).

Seventh year head coach Duke Greco and his squad are 4-0 for the first time since 2017. Greco is 62-11 all-time as head coach and five wins away from passing Jim Clements for the wins by a head coach in DelVal football history.

King's enters Saturday's game 2-2 overall and 1-2 in MAC games. The Monarchs are coming off a thrilling home win over Alvernia University that saw quarterback Tyler Moore run for an 11-yard score with 29 seconds left to lift King's to a 10-7 victory.
