Head Coach Duke Greco Won His 67th Career Game Setting A Program Record

DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – Delaware Valley University football head coach Duke Greco and his staff earned their 67th victory at the helm of the Aggies thanks to another dominating performance from the defense that held Lebanon Valley College to just 23 yards of offense, en route to a 31-3 homecoming triumph. DelVal improved to 8-0 overall and 6-0 in Middle Atlantic Conference play to maintain first place, while Greco surpassed Jim Clements for most wins by a head coach in program history.

COIN TOSS

-        DelVal won the toss and elected to defer. Lebanon Valley received going right to left.

WHERE THEY STAND

-        The Aggies came into today ranked 7th in the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) poll and 10th in the D3football.com top-25. The win extended DelVal's conference record win-streak to 37 games and it improved to 8-0 for the first time since 2017. The Flying Dutchmen fell to 3-5 overall and 2-4 in MAC play.

FIRST QUARTER

-         Lebanon Valley got the ball to start the game and gained just four yards on three plays.

-     The Aggies began their first drive in Dutchmen territory at the 46-yard line after a 17-yard punt return by Tahmir Barksdale. The run game kick-started the drive, and on 3rd-&-10, quarterback DaQuan Bohannan connected with John Davis over the midle for 18 yards to the LVC 3-yard line. Bohannan punched it in on the next play to give DelVal the early 7-0 lead after the PAT from Jack Hughes.

-     Later in the quarter, Dutchmen quarterback Barden Bohannon fumbled a snap and junior Anthony Nobile recovered to set the offense up at the Lebanon Valley 13-yard line.

-     After a penalty, Donte Simmons ran for 11 yards to the 8-yard line before Bohannan found Ryan Loughlin on an out route to the near pylon for his first touchdown. DelVal led 14-0 with under a minute to go in the first.

-     Lebanon Valley ran nine plays for 7 yards, all on the ground, through the first 15 minutes. DelVal racked up 75 yards on 17 plays and held the 14-0 advantage into the second.

SECOND QUARTER

-        Lebanon Valley's first drive of the second went backwards for -9 yards, and the Aggies first drive resulted in a turnover on downs near midfield.

-     The Dutchmen's next drive was extended after a roughing the kicker penalty on a fourth down punt, and they later converted a 23-yard field goal to make it a 14-3 game.

-     DelVal's next drive went for 52 yards and into the red zone, but a fumble on a run play by Julian White gave the ball back to the Dutchmen with just 1:25 left in the half.

-     The Aggies held Lebanon Valley to three yards on three plays and a botched punt gave them the ball back inside the 10-yard line. After three incomplete passes, Jack Hughes connected on a 26-yard field goal to give DelVal a 17-3 lead at the half.

Anthony Nobile corralled the bouncing pigskin and ran 19 yards for a defensive touchdown and a 24-3 lead with 10 minutes left in the third.

-     DelVal forced another fumble in the third when Shaun Balkcom got into the backfield to separate the running back from the ball and Anthony Tedesco recovered for DelVal.
