FERRUM (Va.) -- The Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team traveled to Ferrum, Virginia over spring break to take on the Ferrum College Pantehrs, but came away with a 15-2 non-conference defeat.
The Aggies (1-5) were outscored, 8-1, in the first half by the Panthers who improved to 5-1 overall.
Shannon Petrillo picked up the lone tally for the Green and Gold, unassisted, with just under four minutes left in the half.
Ferrum went on to score the first seven goals of the second half before
Gabby Borst netted her first of the day with less than five minutes left in regulation for the 15-2 final.
Liv Valentine made six saves in over 50 minutes in the cage and
Shannon Hood Played the final nine minutes with one goal allowed. The Panthers were led by Erin Reynolds' six goals and Micaela Harvey had five points on three goals and two assists.
DelVal has a week off before traveling to Penn State Abington on March 17 for a 4 p.m. start.
