DelVal Women's Basketball Falls To Undefeated Williams College In Miami

MIAMI (Fl.) -- Williams College remained undefeated on the year as it downed the Delaware Valley Women's basketball team, 98-50, in the second game of the D3 Hoops MIA Shootout hosted by Eastern University. 

The Ephs (9-0) shot 48-percent from the field for the game and held the Aggies (1-9) to under 30-percent, and it grabbed 45 rebounds to DelVal's 30 en route to the non-conference victory. 

The Aggies trailed by, 12-10, halfway through the first stanza after a pair of free throws by Emily Kutskel. Williams finished the quarter with a 20-4 run to take a commanding, 32-14, lead into the second. 

The Ephs shot over 63-percent (14-for-22) from the field in the first and hit 4-of-6 three's. The only quarter they shot below 50-percent was the final stanza when it was 4-for-17 from the field. 

Kutskel came off the bench for the second straight game since returning from injury and led thd squad with 16 points and two blocks in 21 minutes. Lauren Moretti was just 4-for-18 from the field but finished with 11 points to go with four boards. Shayne Glenn led the way with seven boards and added eight points and two steals and Jordan Hyman finished with nine points and three assists. 

Four different Ephs scored in double figures including Maggie Meehan with a game-high 20 points to go with four assists. Morgan Dauk followed with 16 points and notched a double-double with 10 rebounds. Williams recorded 12 steals and eight blocked shots as a team.
