GLASSBORO (Nj.) – Freshman
Shayne Glenn recorded a game-high 27 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, but the Delaware Valley University women's basketball team was overmatched at Rowan University and came out on the wrong end of a 102-65 final.
The Profs (1-0) got out to an early 15-4 lead after four minutes of play and never looked back. At the end of the first, the home team held a 30- 14 advantage. The Aggies (0-2) made it a 10-point game in the second quarter after a 3-pointer by

Lauren Moretti made it 35-25. DelVal was outscored in the second by a slim margin, 23-21, and trailed 53-35 at halftime.
Rowan's full court press gave the Aggies fits throughout the night and it forced them into 24 turnovers that resulted in 26 points. On the glass, the Profs hauled in 23 offensive rebounds that led to another 26 second chance points. Rowan finished the game 35-for-81 (43.2%) from the field and 13-for-33 (39.4%) from behind the arc.
Glenn, in just her second collegiate game, led all players in the game with 27 points as she went 14-for-17 from the free-throw line and connected on three treys. Six of her 11 rebounds came on the offensive end and shed added one block, one steal, and one assist. Moretti followed with 14 points and a team-high five assists, and she also hit three shots from 3-point land.
Emily Kutskel finished with eight rebounds, seven points, three assists, and one blocked shot. Wills contributed seven points, six rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Alexis Kriley led rowan with 21 points and seven assists and three others players also scored in double figures including Nicole Mallard and Savanna Holt who each had 17. Ayanna Johnson grabbed a game-high 15 rebounds and had three steals and two blocks.
DelVal will return home to take on Marywood on Friday at 6 p.m.
