Box Score 2 VALLEY FORGE (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University volleyball team traveled to the University of Valley Forge for a tri-match where it took on the Patriots and John Jay College and came away with a pair of 3-0 victories.
In the first match of the day, DelVal used scores of 25-7, 25-11, and 25-13 to improve to 5-15 overall and drop Valley Forge to 3-18.
The Aggies had 12 kills and only two errors in the first set while forcing the Patriots into eight errors and only allowed three kills. DelVal had 11 kills in the second set and another eight in the third led by nine kills in the match from
Laura Sweger and eight from
Krista Hiller. Nemil had a match-high 27 assists and led the squad with three of its eight service aces. Libero
Jess Ellick paced the team with 20 digs and Hiller followed with 19.
DelVal used set scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-14 to defeat John Jay College in the second match of the day and get to 6-15 overall. The Aggies had 32 kills and 11 service aces as a team in the match compared to 20 kills and five aces for the Bloodhounds (3-13).
Hiller impressed with 11 kills in the match on 25 attempts and
Reilly Green followed with eight kills and just two errors to go with two assists and two blocks. Nemil dished out 24 assists and had 10 digs while Ellick finished with 14 digs and three assists.
