ROSEMONT (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's tennis team traveled to Rosemont College on Monday and posted a 5-0 blanking of the Ravens. Only five of the nine matches finished before sundown.
The Aggies improved to 2-7 while Rosemont fell to 0-3.
In singles' competition,
Zack Harkcom had a three-set thriller against David Kleiner at the number one spot. Harkcom took the first set, 7-5, before Kleiner evened it up with a 6-4 score in the second. The third set went to a tiebreaker and Harkcom came out on top, 10-5, to earn his first collegiate singles victory.
Nicolas Princetta had little trouble in a 6-1, 6-1 win over Nathan Navaro at second singles while
Alex Vo downed John Crozier, 7-6 (10-4), 6-2 at number three.
Two doubles' matches were completed. Harckcom and
Ryan Lombardo took home a 9-8 (7-3) decision at number one while Princetta and Vo teamed up for an 8-0 shutout of Navaro and Crozier.
DelVal will be right back in action on Tuesday, March 27 when it hosts Lancaster Bible College.
