MONT ALTO (PA) – Billy Frazier, Jr. and
Andre Permyashkin scored two goals apiece to lead Delaware Valley University to a 6-0 triumph at Penn State Mont Alto in the head coaching debut of
Chris Zirpoli.
Zirpoli, a 2006 graduate of DelVal, became the Aggies' new head coach in late May. His squad dominated the Lions for the second straight year as they have outscored their foe, 10-0, over that time.
Permyashkin gave DelVal all the offense it would need with an unassisted tally just 9:43 into the contest.
Nick Miller, a 2016 all-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom honoree, made it 2-0 as he converted a feed from
Sam Dibella 17 minutes later.
The Aggies scored four times in the second half, beginning with Permyashkin's second goal of the day off assists from Dibella and
Nick Gaetano. Frazier, Jr. then picked up the first two goals of his collegiate career as the sophomore connected off an
Austin Daniels assist with 9:27 remaining and added an unassisted goal 22 seconds later.
Evan Augsburger ended the scoring with 4:27 left off a Daniels assist.
DelVal held a 24-4 advantage in shots and 12 of the game's 14 corners.
Connor Hedgepeth did not face a shot on goal as the junior picked up his third career shutout.
The Aggies will host Clarks Summit University for a non-conference game on Tuesday, September 5 (7 p.m.).
