IMMACULATA (PA) – The Delaware Valley University men's soccer team gave up a goal just 1:53 into the game, en route to a 5-0 loss at non-conference foe Immaculata University.
DelVal slipped to 2-3 on the year while the Mighty Macs got their first win to go to 1-4-1.
Immaculata got all the offense it would need in the opening moments as Nick Boule took a pass from Chad Catalana and chipped a shot in over Aggie goalkeeper
Connor Hedgepeth. Alex Potter made it 2-0 with 17:08 left in the first half while Boule struck again with 12:13 remaining.
Connor Lindsay was awarded a penalty kick with just 10 seconds to go before the intermission and he converted for a 4-0, Mighty Macs lead. Alex Noel completed the scoring 12 minutes into the second stanza.
Immaculata outshot DelVal, 23-7, and held a 6-3 advantage in corners.
Patrick McCarthy had two of the shots for the Aggies while Hedgepeth finished with nine saves.
The Aggies will host Gwynedd Mercy University for a non-conference match-up on Wednesday, September 20 (4 p.m.).
