DALLAS (PA) – The Delaware Valley University women's soccer team concluded its 2017 season with a 4-0 loss at Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom power and regionally-ranked Misericordia University.
The Aggies finished the campaign 3-13-1 overall and 1-6 in the conference. The Cougars, who were ranked 18
th in the country last week and is currently fifth in the NCAA Division III Mid-Atlantic Region poll, improved to 12-4-2 and 5-2. They will look to defend their conference championship (four of the last five) in next week's tournament.
Misericordia scored two goals in each half while outshoot DelVal, 30-2. The game-winning tally came from Devyn Anderson 13-plus minutes into the contest. Jordyn Powell followed 25 minutes later while Alex Gallagher and Ashley Edgell added second-half goals.
Taylor Boyer recorded both shots for the Aggies while seniors
Somer Meadath and
Kylie Williams played in their final collegiate game. Freshman
Madelyne Medina made her fourth start in net and recorded a career-high 13 saves.
