AGGIES' SIX-GAME WINNING STREAK ENDS WITH 73-60 LOSS AT MISERICORDIA

DALLAS (PA) – The trio of Sean Bieski, Ethan Eichhorst and Robbie Johnson combined for 54 points as Misericordia University snapped Delaware Valley College's six-game winning streak with a 73-60, Freedom Conference home victory.

Despite the loss, the Aggies remain in sole possession of first place in the Freedom with a 6-3 league mark (12-7 overall). They are a game ahead of both Misericordia and two-time defending conference champion DeSales University and two games in front of Eastern University, Manhattanville College and Wilkes University with six league contests remaining. The top four teams advance to the conference playoffs, a feat Delaware Valley is trying to accomplish for just the third time in program history and the second in the last three years.

The Cougars (12-7 overall) took a 32-21 halftime lead thanks to 53.6 percent shooting from the field (15-for-28). They built the advantage to 13 in the early moments of the second stanza and were still up 10, 42-32, with 15:43 remaining.

Delaware Valley then went on a 9-0 run over the next three minutes, including eight by Jeremy Beckett, to make it a one-point game at 42-41. However, Misericordia responded with nine straight of their own – five by Johnson – to up the lead back to 10. The Aggies could not get closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Eichhorst was 10-for-18 from the field and finished with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Johnson was 8-for-13, en route to 18 points and five assists. Bieski came off the bench to notch 11 points and seven boards.

James Jones had 22 points to pace the Aggies while Beckett added 19 points and 10 rebounds for the sophomore's ninth double-double of the season.
