Delaware Valley University Athletics

Beginning with the 2026 season, Tyler Young will join the Delaware Valley University baseball staff as the infield coach.

Young most recently served as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Shepherd University in 2025, where he worked closely with the Rams’ infielders and hitters. That same year, he also played professional independent baseball with the Washington Wild Things, Gateway Grizzlies, and Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers.

Prior to coaching, Young was a four-year starting shortstop at Lehigh University, where he posted a career .301 batting average. He earned First Team All-Patriot League honors in 2024, Second Team All-Patriot League honors in 2022, and was named to the 2022 Patriot League All-Tournament Team. He also received national recognition as the Brooks Wallace National Shortstop of the Week.

A native of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, Young graduated from Lehigh University in 2024.
