Haynes is in his third year on the DelVal coaching staff following a successful wrestling career with the Aggies.
Haynes wrestled for DelVal from 2009 to 2011 and again from 2013 to 2015. All four teams he was a member of finished in the top 20 at the NCAAs, including fifth-place showings in 2013-14 and 2014-15. In 2014-15, Haynes and the Aggies captured the team titles at both the MAC and NCAA East Regional Championships.
Individually, Haynes was a three-time regional placewinner, including as a senior when he took third place at 133 pounds and automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships. He was unseeded for the national tournament, but, instead, placed seventh and earned his first All-America honor. Haynes finished his career with 67 wins.
Haynes graduated in May, 2016 with a degree in environmental biology. He is currently pursuing his Master's at DelVal in policy studies, specializing in sustainability and the environment.Â
