Lammer joins Delaware Valley University ahead of the 2025-26 season after serving as the Associate Head Wrestling Coach at Alvernia University in Reading, Pa., where he has been a key figure in the program since its inception in July 2019. During his tenure at Alvernia, he played a crucial role in the training and development of student-athletes, overseeing wrestling skills instruction, character building, academic progress, and equipment management. His leadership helped create a supportive and safe environment for student-athletes both on and off the mat.
A skilled recruiter, Lammer has been instrumental in bringing top talent to Alvernia, helping athletes continue their education while excelling in their wrestling careers. He has also played a significant role in directing wrestling tournaments and camps on campus as a key fundraising strategy, as well as assisting in running wrestling mat clubs to further recruitment and fundraising efforts.
Lammer's coaching accomplishments include mentoring Matthew Lackman, a four-time All-American and the 2025 NCAA Division III Champion. Lackman also earned recognition as the 2021-22 MAC Rookie of the Year and was named the MAC Wrestler of the Year for three consecutive seasons (2022-23, 2023-24, 2024-25). Under Lammer's guidance, Alvernia produced six MAC Champions and 15 additional top-three placers at the conference tournament.
Beyond his collegiate coaching career, Lammer has been an active coach at the Steel Mat Wrestling Club, where he has worked with athletes of various ages and skill levels. His dedication to wrestling extends back to his own collegiate career at Elizabethtown College, where he served as team captain during the 2015-16 season before graduating in December 2016 with a degree in sociology-anthropology.
