Jason Toedter

2018-19 marks Toedter's third year as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Delaware Valley University.

Toedter's first year at the helm saw the Aggie women win a conference match for the first time in their three-year history. A combined nine student-athletes (six women, three men) earned spots on the conference's academic honor roll. Last year, a combined nine Aggies (six women, three men) were once again recognized by the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) for their academics.

Toedter came to DelVal with seven years of collegiate coaching experience, most recently as the associate head coach for the women’s program at Moravian College (2010-14). Toedter helped lead the Greyhounds to a cumulative 39-22 overall record with a 16-7 mark in Landmark Conference play. Moravian captured the conference title and earned a berth to the NCAA Division III playoffs in 2011. Toedter and the rest of the Greyhound coaches were honored as the Landmark Conference Women’s Tennis Coaching Staff of the Year in 2014.

Toedter was previously an assistant for both the men’s and women’s programs at Moravian from 2005-07. At that time, the Greyhounds were members of the MAC Commonwealth and the women’s team reached the conference championship match in both seasons, winning in 2007 to earn a national tournament berth. Toedter was also an assistant at Division I Lehigh University for the 2004-05 campaign.

One of the most successful men’s tennis players in Moravian history, Toedter was the MAC champion and Player of the Year in 2004, becoming the first male Greyhound to earn those honors. A four-time All-Conference selection, he was also tabbed the MAC Rookie of the Year in 2001. Toedter is the all-time wins leader at Moravian with 54. He was named to the MAC 100 Century Team for the 1994-2003 era.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Toedter has been an instructor at East Brunswick Racquet Club, Princeton Racquet Club and Morris County Golf Club. He is a Professional Tennis Registry Certified Instructor and United States Racquet Stringers Association Certified Stringer.

Toedter graduated from Moravian in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in political science and a minor in English and philosophy. He went on to earn his master’s in public policy with a concentration in labor policy from The Bloustein School of Public Policy at Rutgers University in 2010.
