About Softball
The Aggie softball program has been in existence since 1980.
The 2007 squad went 16-14 and qualified for the conference playoffs for the first time since 1987. One year later, the team won a school-record 18 games and reached the Freedom Conference Championship Game for the first time in program history. The roster was overhauled after losing a number of players to graduation, but the young '09 edition went 14-16 overall (10-6 in Freedom) and qualified for the postseason once again.
In 2012, sophomore Jackie Wear was named the Freedom Conference Player of the Year, the first Aggie to take home the award. She led the conference and placed in the top 35 in Division III in seven different offensive categories. Wear earned all-conference accolades in both 2013 and 2014.
In 2016, Jamie Stefani set new school records for strikeouts in a game and a season and tied the mark for wins in a campaign. The pitcher was chosen to the all-MAC Freedom first team and she repeated that spot in both 2017 and 2018
