Hunt Seat Wins Co-Host Show With Arcadia

| By:

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - The Delaware Valley Hunt Seat Equestrian Team hosted its annual home horse show this weekend, with the support of co-host Arcadia University, and once again emerged victorious. The team also took this opportunity to celebrate its nine graduating seniors.

The day began with two seniors competing in the Open division. Brooke Wolfinger secured the win in Open Fences with the highest-scoring jumping trip of the day, while Evan Holt placed third. Senior Victoria Coale led the Aggies in Open Flat with a second-place finish, followed by Wolfinger in third and Holt in fifth. Holt's performance in Open Fences also earned him enough points to qualify for Regionals in his second class.

Coale returned to compete in Intermediate Fences alongside fellow senior Kerrin Long, finishing fifth and third, respectively. Coale's placement also secured her second spot at the regional horse show. In Intermediate Flat, senior Morgan Brosius and junior Taylor Pruitt both earned sixth-place ribbons.

In Limit Fences, junior Kailei Makhija and senior Alice Kauffman both finished in second place. Freshman Samantha Wills and junior Sofia Walsh competed in Limit Flat, with Wills taking third and Walsh winning the blue ribbon.

The Aggies truly shined in the Novice division, sweeping the top three spots. Freshman Elsa Heacock won her section, while junior Sophia Alcamo and freshman Mia Lovitt placed first and second in their section. The day concluded with the Intro division, where freshmen Madison Heitman and Genna Newman put in strong performances—Heitman taking first and Newman finishing fourth in her debut horse show.

The team's final regular-season show is set for this Saturday, March 15, hosted by Kutztown University at Heaven's Gate Farm.

At the conclusion of the show, the team took a moment to honor its senior class, recognizing their tremendous contributions over the past four years. While one more regular-season show remains, the coaching staff felt that, after a week of hard work preparing the facility and horses, home was the perfect place to celebrate the seniors.
