Jacob Blair competed in day two at the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling National Championships in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Sophomore
Jacob Blair represented the Aggies in the 133lb weight class. Blair went 2-1 during the first day of competition, where he would guarantee himself a top eight finish in the tournament and become the 84th All-American in program history.
In the first match of the day, Blair would earn a 12-5 victory over #8 seeded Isaiah Torres of Ithaca, guaranteeing the sophomore a top six placement in the 133lb weight class.
In the consolation semi-finals, Blair would fall to #1 seeded Robbie Precin of North Central in overtime by a score of 4-1.
In the 5
th/6
th place match, Blair would defeat Dominik Mallinder of UW-Whitewater by a score of 4-1.
Blair becomes the 84th All-American in Delaware Valley men's wrestling program history. The 2024 MAC Champion at 133lbs officially ends his season with a record of 30-7.
This is DelVal Men's wrestling's first All-American since current assistant coach Kordell Rush earned All-American honors in 2020.
The last three Aggie wrestlers to earn All-American honors all came in the 133lb weight division at the NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling National Championships
This concludes the 2024 season for Delaware Valley men's wrestling. The Aggies finish the season with a dual meet record of 14-5 and crowned a MAC Champion, eight region placers, and one NCAA All-American.
