Jacob Blair traveled to La Crosse, Wisconsin, to compete in the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling National Championships. Sophomore
Jacob Blair represented the Aggies in the 133lb weight class, seeking to become the 84th All-American in program history. Blair punched his ticket to the NCAA Division III National Championships by securing a second-place finish at the Southeast Regional Tournament. This two-day tournament features some of the best collegiate men's wrestlers the nation has to offer. Each weight class will crown an NCAA Division III National champion and the top eight place winners in each weight class will earn All-American honors. After dropping hist first match, Blair would rally off two consecutive wins to become the 84th NCAA Division III All-American in program history.
Sophomore
Jacob Blair would drop his first-round match up to eventual NCAA Semi-Finalist Chase Randall of Coast Guard by a score of 15-3.
In the wrestle backs, Blair would earn a triple overtime victory over Zach Levey of Alfred State.
In the blood round, the sophomore would face off against of Gabriel Leo-Esparolini of Johnson & Wales. After trailing 4-2 in the third period, Blair would earn a late take-down and hold onto a 5-4 decision victory.
Jacob Blair is now a 2024 NCAA Division III All-American and is guaranteed a top eight finish at the NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling National Championships. Blair will compete tomorrow to determine his placement, as he is now guaranteed a 3rd-8th place finish in the 133lb weight division.
