YORK, Pa. – The Delaware Valley women's wrestling team had two first place finishers and three additional placers at the York New Standard Invitational. As a team, the Aggies placed fourth out of the 14 teams.
 
Josey Wehr came out on top in the women's 117-pound weight class. This marks her second first-place finish of the season. Sophia Pollack also claimed first place for the 207-pound weight class. This is the first overall victory for Pollack this season.
 
Jesenia Camargo placed second in the 103-pound weight class while Mckenna Acampora claimed fifth in the same weight class. Olivia Ball was the final placer for the Aggies taking sixth in the 138-pound weight class.
 
"Great day of wrestling today with a lot of improvements made from our Thanksgiving break," said head coach Andrew Taylor. "We had some great and gritty performances that we are very proud of. Excited to get back to work now that we're on winter break."
 
The Aggies return to action on Friday, Dec. 20 for the Gator Boots Dual in Nashville, Tennesee.
