NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Delaware Valley women's wrestling team went 2-3 at the Gator Boots Duals recording wins over Cornell and Huntingdon on Friday.
 
The Aggies kicked off the day with a big 41-18 win over Cornell with six Aggies recording wins off two tech falls and three pins. Mckenna Acampora (103), Jesenia Acampora (110), Josey Wehr (117), Layla Whittaker (131), Katie Martin (160), Emma Helverson (180) and Sophia Pollack (207) all recorded wins in their respective weight classes.
 
DelVal hit a mid-match slump falling to both Simpson twice (53-2 & 41-18) and Emmanuel (54-1) before rallying back for a tight 29-23 victory over Huntingdon to wrap up the day. Wehr (117), Lilly Kinder (145), Martin (160), Helverson (180) and Pollack (207) pushed the Aggies to victory with wins in their respective weight classes.

"We went in search for some really tough competition and we found it," said head coach Andrew Taylor. "Within that search we learned a lot about our wrestling, what we need to fix and what we did really well. I'm excited for our girls to enjoy a break and come back ready to go. Good teams get better after breaks, so that's what we intend to do".
