BETHLEHEM, Pa. - DelVal Hunt Seat kicked off its season earning the High Point team award at Lehigh on Sunday.
Seniors Evan Holt and Pauline Jodry led in the Open Fences and Flat categories, with Holt winning a large flat class and Jodry finishing third. Team captains Brooke Wolfinger and Victoria Coale led the Intermediate division, with Wolfinger securing fourth place in Intermediate Flat.
In the Limit division junior Taylor Pruitt took first place, while seniors Kerrin Long and Morgan Brosius finished second and third, respectively. Pruitt's win qualified her for Regionals in Limit Fences and moved her to Intermediate Fences. The Limit Flat riders continued strong performances, with sophomore Sophia Frisbie winning her section, sophomore Paige Gatz taking second, and seniors Alice Kaufman and Julianne Jodry finishing third and fifth.
In the Novice division, sophomore Rhiannon Swimelar took first place, while junior Sophia Alcamo also earned first in the Pre-Novice category. To conclude the show, Alaina Runt earned second place in the Intro division.
Next, the Delval Aggies Hunt Seat riders will travel to Wilkes-Barre, PA, on Saturday, Oct. 12, to compete at Scranton University's home barn.
