EASTON, Pa. - Delaware Valley Hunt Seat competed in their third horse show of the season this Sunday at Lafayette College, aiming to expand their lead in the region. They achieved their goal, taking home the High Point Team award with a 16-point victory over the University of Scranton, further solidifying their position as Regional leaders.
In the Open division, Senior Evan Holt secured the win in a large Open Flat class, with Senior Pauline Jodry following in sixth place. Senior Captain Brooke Wolfinger led the Intermediate division, winning the Intermediate Fences and qualifying for Regionals, while Freshman Katia Holmes placed fifth. Senior Captain Victoria Coale finished second in Intermediate Flat, with Wolfinger close behind in sixth.
The Aggies continued their strong performance in the Limit division, featuring Seniors Kerrin Long and Morgan Brosius alongside Freshman Maggie Mitchell. Long won the Limit Fences, and Brosius followed in second. Juniors Taylor Pruitt and Grace Allen took first and second place, respectively, in Limit Flat. Freshman Alicia Smoot had an impressive debut for the Aggies, winning in Novice, joined by Junior Sofia Walsh and Freshman Alexandra Adams, with Walsh also qualifying for Regionals with a fourth-place finish. The day concluded with Junior Alaina Runt earning fifth in the Intro division.
DelVal will be back in action this Sunday at the Rutgers-hosted show at Brookside Show Stables.
