Softball's Season Comes To An End After Twinbill With Arcadia

DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University softball team dropped a pair of contests to visiting Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom foe Arcadia University to put a cap on the 2023 campaign. The Knights won both games by a score of 4-0.

The first game was highlighted by the pitching of Juliana Presto who struck out 13 Aggie batters and allowed just one hit and one walk in a complete-game shutout. Kenzie Boyd got the start in the circle for DelVal and allowed 11 hits and four earned runs while striking out one.

Presto added an RBI single to center to her day's totals, and Megan Sooy and Megan Klose each homered for Arcadia.

In game two, Paige Nolan took the circle for the Knights and found similar success as she struck out nine Aggies and allowed three hits in a shutout effort. Arcadia got on the board in the first with an unearned run after an error, and scored its second run in the fourth on an RBI single from Haley Buckley.

Bailey Smith pitched game two for DelVal and allowed two runs, one earned, on five hits with two walks and a strikeout.
