DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University men's wrestling team is prepared to compete at the 2023 NCAA Division III Southeast Regional Championships on February 24th-25th inside M&T Bank Field House, hosted by York College.
The Southeast Region will crown 10 individual champions (one at each weight) and one team champion. The top-3 finishers at each weight class will advance to the NCAA Division III National Championships in Roanoke Virginia.

Season Recap
The Aggies finished the season with a dual record of 9-8. In tournament action, they took home second place at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational, third place at both the Ithaca Invite and the Racich Rumble, and placed fifth at the 2023 MAC Championships. DelVal went 3-2 in duals against Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) rivals this season, including victories over Wilkes, Messiah, and Kings and setbacks against nationally-ranked Stevens (#9) and Alvernia (#20). The Aggies enter the Southeast Region Tournament with two individual wrestlers ranked in the region.
SCOUTING THE AGGIES
125- First-year Jacob Blair enters the tournament with a record of 17-10. Blair had a second-place showing at the Racich Rumble and a fifth place finish at the MAC Championships. This weekend he will compete in a deep 125-pound weight division that includes four wrestlers ranked in the top-12 nationally. The weight class is headlined by returning NCAA All American Riley Parker of Washington & Lee. Parker placed third in the region and 6th at the National Championships last season. Also in this years weight class is #6 Luke Hoerle of Stevens, #7 Jared Kuhns of York and #12 Mason Barrett of Averett. Blair wrestled four of the top six kids ranked in the region earlier this season, including a 6-2 win over returning regional finalist and fifth ranked in the region Austin Fashour of Wilkes.
133- Sophomore Ryan Arndt, the 2023 MAC champion at 133 pounds, enters the weekend with a record of 27-10. Arndt is ranked fourth in the region and is currently an honorable mention in the d3wrestle.com rankings. Along with his MAC Championship victory, Arndt took second place at Baldwin Wallace and third at the Racich Rumble. Standing in Arndt's way will be MAC conference foes #8 Dalton Rohrbaugh of York and #14 Nico Diaz of Stevens. Rohrbaugh took first place in the Southeast Region and placed third at the National Championships last season
141- First-year Taylor Weaver will get the nod at 141 pounds. Weaver has a record of 13-13 and is one of the Aggies team-leaders in pins with nine total. Weaver took home a third-place showing at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational earlier on in the season. The 141-pound weight class is highlighted by #3 Kyle Slendorn of Stevens. Slendorn, a three-time MAC Champion, two time Southeast Region champion, 2022 NCAA All-American. The weight class also features #5 Josh Wilson of Greensboro. Wilson took second in the Southeast region and fifth at the National Championships last season at 133 pounds.
149- First-year Andre Henene, will represent the Aggies at 149 pounds. Henene has six wins this season including two wins by fall. Henene helped lead the Aggies to a 24-9 dual victory over Ursinius earlier on in the season with a 7-3 decision win. The 149-pound weightclass features #12 Hunter Gutierrez of Stevens.
157- Sophomore Greg Croce enters the weekend fourth on the team in wins with 20 and finished runner-up at Baldwin Wallace and fifth at the Racich Rumble. Croce came up massive for the Aggies in a conference dual against Kings by picking up a late pinfall helping the Aggies defeat the Monarchs by a score of 18-17. Croce will compete against #5 Ryan Luth of Washington & Lee and #10 Jesse Alvarado of Averett. Luth is the defending Southeast Region champion at 157-pounds and placed fourth at the National Championships.
165- Sophomore Adam Coleman, gets the nod at 165-pounds. Coleman has a record of 14-10 and took home fourth at the MAC Championships and sixth at the Ithaca Invite. The weight class is headlined by #2 Matt Lackman of Alvernia. Lackman is a two time MAC Champion, 2022 Southeast Region Champion and a third place finisher at the National Championships.
174- First-year Luke Moore enters this weekend with the third most victories on the team with 22 wins. Moore is the team leader in pins this season with 12 wins by fall. Moore took home the championship at 174 pounds at the Baldwin Wallace Invite and took home third at the Ithaca Invite. Standing in his way will be #5 Stefan Major of Stevens. Major is the defending Southeast Region Champion at 174-pounds and placed Seventh at the National Championships last season. The weight class also features #9 Colby Morris of Waynesburg.
184- First-year Jaden Roberts enters the tournament with a record of 7-4 having missed a large part of the season due to injury. Roberts overtime victory over sixth ranked in the Region Ryder Slayton of Messiah, helped lead the Aggies to a 30-16 dual victory over MAC foe Messiah. The weight class is headlined by #7 Mahlic Sallah of Roanoke. Sallah is the defending Southeast region Champion at 184-pounds and placed seventh at the National Championships.
197- Junior Dan Eckley put himself on the map by avenging a loss earlier on in the season by pinning Southeast region champion and NCAA All American Cameron Farrow of York in the MAC Conference semifinals. Eckley enters this weekend with a record of 12-6. Eckley took second at both the MAC Championships and Racic Rumble, as well as a third place finish at the Ithaca Invite. Eckley will compete against returning NCAA All Americans Cameron Farrow of York and Gable Krebs of Lycoming. The weightclass also features #13 Cameron Butka of Wilkes.
HWT- Senior team-captain Austin Williams will be the lone senior competing this weekend for Delval. Williams leads the Aggies in wins with 28 and is second on the team in pins with 11. The senior will compete in a very deep HWT bracket featuring # 2022 NCAA All-American #4 John Fulmer of Lycoming, #8 Rayshawn Dixon of Ferrum, and #9 Palmer Rodenhaber of Alvernia. The weight class also features 2019-2020 Southeast Region Champion at 197-pounds, Michael Dooley of Stevens.
The 2022 Southeast Region Tournament was won by Stevens last season. This year's field features eight returning defending champions and 11 returning All Americans.
