Eight DelVal Men's Wrestlers Ranked In The Region. Flynn And Blair Nationally Ranked

Doylestown, Pa-  Delaware Valley Men's Wrestling has a total of eight wrestlers ranked in the Southeast Region and two wrestlers nationally ranked on NWCA.com 

Sophomore Logan Flynn leads the Aggies as the #6th ranked wrestler in the nation at HWT. Flynn put himself on the map at the 2023 Racich Rumble where he went 5-0 and knocked off two nationally ranked wrestlers in the process. In the semi-finals, Flynn avenged a loss from last season and defeated #7 Dylan Waller of Elizabethtown in overtime. In the finals, Flynn pinned returning NCAA National qualifier Evan Anderson of NYU. Logan Picked up his third nationally ranked win last weekend in a dual meet against Wilkes, where he defeated #12 Caleb Burkhart of Wilkes by decision. Burkhart of Wilkes is currently ranked 3rd in the region right behind Flynn. The sophomore is currently 13-1 on the season with five pins, and is undefeated in dual meets. His only defeat this season came in the Doug Parker Invite finals to #2 Carl DiGiorgio of USCGA. 

Sophomore returning NCAA National qualifier Jacob Blair is ranked 14th in the nation and 2nd in the region at 133 lbs. Jacob Blair is currently 11-3 on the season and placed 2nd at the Tonee Ellis Memorial Invite. The sophomore has shined this season for the Aggies in dual meets, where he is a perfect 5-0 for Delaware Valley with all five matches earning bonus points. The biggest win this season for Blair was a season-opening dual meet against Stevens, where he bumped up to 141 lbs and pinned returning NCAA Southeast Regional Champion #13 Nico Diaz. 

First-year Nicholas Hall climbed all the way up to 2nd in the region at 184 lbs with a very impressive start to his freshman campaign. After wrestling 197 lbs in the month of November, the first year made his 184 lb collegiate debut at the New Standard Corp. Invite hosted by York College. Hall went on to go 6-1 in the tournament, including a 4-1 victory over of Rylan Moose of Marymount in the 3rd place bout. Moose is currently the 4th ranked wrestler in the Southeast Region, and that win capitulated Hall all the way to 2nd in the regional rankings. The first year is currently 16-5 on the season with wins five wins by pin-fall. Hall was a 3x Delaware State Champion coming out of high school for and notched over 100 career wins for Caravel Academy.

Sophomore Luke Moore is ranked 4th at 174 lb. Luke Moore is currently 13-6 on the season with a first place finish at the Tonee Ellis Memorial Invite, along with a 3rd place finish at the Doug Parker Invite. Luke Moore had a very impressive freshman campaign for Delaware Valley last season capped off by a placed 6th in the 2023 Southeast Regional Tournament  at 174lbs. Moore had the third most wins on the team for the Aggies last season and was the team leader in pin-fall victories.

First Year Nicholas Delorenzo currently sits at 5th in the region 157 lbs. Delorenzo has been a bright spot since joining the Aggies this season with a 14-8 record and a team-high eight victories by major decision. The first year has placed in the top five at all three tournaments Delaware Valley has competed in this year, including a 3rd place finish at the Tonee Ellis Memorial Invite. Delorenzo's biggest win of the season came in a dual meet against York, where Delorenzo knocked off at the time #14 in the nation Jared Bair, a returning 4th place finisher at the 2023 Southeast Regional Championships.  Delorenzo was a multiple time state qualifier for Tome River East High School in New Jersey, earning over 100 career wins during his time with the Raiders.

Joining Delorenzo in the regional rankings is his high school teammate at Toms River East High School, sophomore Joseph McCullough. McCullough is 7th ranked wrestler in the region at 165 lbs. The sophomore has a record of 11-5 this season and placed fourth at the New Standard Corp. Invite. The sophomore put himself on the map during the Aggie's season opener when he bumped up to 174 lbs and upset returning 2x All American Stefan Major of Stevens by a 4-3 decision. Over the weekend, McCullough notched an upset come from behind pin-fall victory over nationally ranked #5 Dustin Borhen of Loras.

Junior Ryan Arndt is currently ranked 7th in the region at 141 lbs. Arndt has been one of the more reliable wrestlers over the past two seasons for the Aggies, where he was the team leader in wins for Delaware Valley in both his freshman ad sophomore seasons. Arndt has a current record of 19-4 and has placed in the top five at all three tournaments Delaware Valley has competed in, including a 2nd place finish at the New Standard. Corp Invite. The Junior's biggest win of the season up to this point was in the semi-finals at the New Standard Corp. Invite. where he defeated returning NCAA National Qualfier Isaiah Torres of Ithaca by major decision. Arndt was ranked as high as 15th in the nation at 141 lbs in the month of November, but a setback loss to Jack Bauer of Wilkes dropped him to seventh in the rankings. Arndt responded with a 3-0 record this weekend at the Kalahari Duals.

First year Malik Asfour is ranked 8th in the region 125 lbs. Asfour went 4-0 at the Kalahari Duals over the weekend for the Aggies, including a come from behind pin fall victory over Wylie Jessup of Loras, heavilycontributing to Delaware Valley's upset victory knocking off #16 in the nation Loras. This weekends performance at the Kalahari Duals earned Malik Asfour MAC Wrestler Of The Week, as Asfour won every match by pin-fall or technical fall. The first year is 14-7 on the season, including  a 6-2 dual meet record and six victories by technical fall. Asfour is a multiple state qualifier from Lodi High School in New Jersey.

Delaware Valley Men's Wrestling will enjoy their winter break, then will be back in action on January 6th to compete at the Penn Tech Invite.
