York, Pa- Delaware Valley Men's Wrestling traveled to York, Pennsylvania to take part in the 2023 New Standard Corp. Invite. This two-day individual tournament consists of fifteen teams, including four teams nationally ranked in the top 25 of the country. Delaware Valley sent sixteen wrestlers to compete in the two-day tournament and finished off the evening with seven wrestlers advancing to day two. Delaware Valley advanced four wrestlers to the semifinal round that will take place tomorrow at 10:00am.
Junior
Ryan Arndt won his first two matches in dominant fashion at 133 lbs when he defeated Jayden Norris of Alfred State and Christopher Gomez of Johnson & Wales by technical fall. In the quarterfinals,
Ryan Arndt defeated Jude Robson of Roanoke by an 8-0 major decision. The junior went 3-0 during the first day of competition and will match up against nationally ranked #6 Isaiah Torres of Ithaca in the semi-finals.
First-year
Nicholas Delorenzo started off the day at 157 lbs with a 16-2 technical decision over Max Monrrison of Brockport. Delorenzo would go on to pick up a 14-4 major decision win over Austin Manning of USMMA in the next round. In the quarterfinals, Delorenzo won a 15-0 technical decision over Nic Zamaloff of Washington & Lee. The first-year will face off against Jack Richardson of Johnson & Wales in the semi-final round
Sophomore
Luke Moore received a bye in the first round at 174 lbs. In the following round, Moore defeated Cole Kuhar of Ithaca by pin-fall. In the quarterfinals,
Luke Moore won a tightly contested 4-1 bout over returning NCAA National Qualifier Reid Colella of TCNJ. The sophomore will face off against nationally ranked #15 Harrison Kelly of Washington & Lee in the semi-final round.

Logan Flynn received a bye in the first round at HWT. In the next round, Flynn picked up a 7-0 decision over John Iglesias of Johnson & Wales. In the quarterfinals,
Logan Flynn was trailing in the third period and pulled off the match winning takedown to secure a 4-2 decision over Nick Franco of Brockport. The sophomore has defaulted out of the semi-final round and will not compete in day two of the tournament, securing a 6th place finish.
Junior
Adam Coleman, sophomore
Joseph McCullough, and first-year Nick Hall all advanced to day two of the tournament, and will compete tomorrow in the consultation rounds as well for the Aggies.
