This is the first time in program history these two teams faced off against one another, as this is the first inaugural season for York Women's Wrestling. Tonight's matchup would mark the first ever dual meet hosted by York College in the sport of women's wrestling. The Aggies came into tonight's dual meet coming off a 35-10 victory over the Bobcats of Frostburg State. Delaware Valley would go on and remain undefeated in dual meets as they defeated York by a score of 36-8.

At 130lbs, first year Carmela Velasco picked up her first win on the season in impressive fashion with a win by pinfall over Megan Knapp. The Aggies would continue the momentum going into 136lbs as Layla Weiss earns a technical fall victory over Maura White. Kathryn Martin and the Aggies would receive a forfeit at 155lbs followed by a pin fall victory for first year Gabriella Reid at 170 lbs over Katelyn Coldren. In the final bout of the night, Sophia Pollack scored a technical fall victory over Emma Lavalle.
Here is what head coach Andrew Taylor had to say about the Aggies victory...

"Tonight's performance was great for both our men's and women's team. Coming into these matches we were less concerned on the outcome or result and more focused on putting our best product to date out on the mat. I loved our compete level and willingness to commit to the adjustments we made this past week in our wrestling. York is a tough team and they created a great atmosphere for these duals. This was a selfless win on both sides with multiple athletes moving around in weights and shifting on the fly. We're happy with today and excited to move forward into the remainder of the week."

The Aggies will be back in action on Tuesday, November 21st as they will host the Golden Wolves of Alvernia for the 2023-2024 home opener.
