Allentown, Pa- Delaware Valley Men's wrestling went on the road Saturday afternoon to face off against the Mules of Muhlenburg. The Aggies and the Mules split the past two dual meets against one another in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 seasons. Delaware Valley would go on and fall to Muhlenberg by a score of 27-19.

Muhlenburg would start the match off strong at 125 lbs and 133 lbs when returning NCAA All-American Joey Lamporelli defeated first year Malik Asfour by tech fall. The Aggies would respond with two victories at 133 lbs and 141 lbs when the one two punch of nationally ranked Aggies Jacob Blair and Ryan Arndt would pick up bonus point victories. Sophomore Jacob Blair defeated Frank DiEsso by technical fall and Junior Ryan Arndt defeated Christopher Dalmau by a 16-3 major decision. The Aggies would go on and bump up sophomore Taylor Weaver to 149 lbs and face off against Evan Mendez. After an action packed first period, Mendez would take control of the match and win a 17-4 major decision. Junior Greg Croce would retake the lead the Aggies at 157 lbs with a 13-4 major decision win over Chris Stockler. The turning point of the dual would appear at 165 lbs when Riley McHale would defeat first year Nick Delorenzo by fall. At 174 lbs, returning All American and #7 Anson Dewar defeated Joeseph McCullough by a 7-3 decision. Muhlenberg would continue their success at 184 lbs when Ryan Fairchild would pickup a victory by fall over sophomore Luke Moore. At 197 lbs, Paul Parise would avenge a pinfall loss at the Tonee Ellis Memorial Invite and defeat first year Nick Hall 10-7 in overtime. Senior Isaiah Johnson would win a forfeit victory and the Mules would go on and win 27-19. 

Delaware Valley Men's Wrestling will be back in action on Wednesday, November 15th when they travel on the road to face off against the Spartans of York College of Pennsylvania.
