DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University men's wrestling team won seven of 10 bouts en route to a convincing 24-9 victory over visiting Ursinus College on a night when the Aggies celebrated their four seniors on senior night.

The Aggies honored seniors Russell Benson, Jake Nase, Mike Rubino, and Austin Williams for their dedication and commitment to the DelVal men's wrestling program over the years.

The Green and Gold improved to 7-4 in dual matches this season.

In this one, the Aggies got out to an early 8-0 lead thanks to a hard-fought 6-4 decision from first-year Jacob Blair at 125 and a dominating 17-2 technical fall for sophomore Ryan Arndt.

After the Bears got three points back with a decision at 141, first-year Andre Henene stepped in at 149 and earned a 7-3 decision over Wesley Tosto. Sophomore Greg Croce followed with a 19-10 major decision over Derek Giordano to extend the Aggies' lead to 15-3 at the midway point. Croce controlled the match as he consistently took down Giordano and let him back up in an effort to secure bonus points for DelVal.

First-year Joseph Mccullough kept his match close, but suffered an 8-4 loss. Sophomore Adam Coleman picked him up with a convincing 12-5 decision at 174 to give the Aggies an 18-6 lead with three bouts left.

First-year Luke Moore wrestled up a weight class again and fell to Gary Nagle by a 4-2 decision. DelVal got two decisions to close out the match and earn the 24-9 victory. Sophomore Dan Eckley earned a 6-0 decision at 197 and senior Austin Williams put a bow on senior night with a controlling 8-2 decision to secure the victory.
