The Delaware Valley University women's wrestling team travelled to Western New England University for a dual with the Bears on Thursday evening, but fell 25-9.
Senior Bridgette Schoultz highlighted the day for the Aggies as she controlled her match from start to finish en route to a 10-0 technical fall in the second period. Schoultz got inside for two takedowns in the first period and finished the stanza by driving her opponent out of the circle. Early in the second Schoultz earned another point by driving Sabrina Sedor out of bounds again to make it 6-0. Moments later, Schoultz earned the tech. fall by driving Sedor to the mat once more.
The next bout of the day featured first-year Olivia Kinder against Kendall Branchaud who got the best of Kinder with an early takedown and an eventual win by fall with 40 seconds left in the first period. In the final bout, sophomore Gigi Lee was taken down in the first period by Samantha Groncki and suffered a loss by fall.
Caira Jaynes earned a win by forfeit for DelVal to end the day.
