JERSEY CITY (Nj.) – The Delaware Valley University women's wrestling team traveled to Jersey City for a tri-match where it faced a pair of nationally-ranked teams in the #16 Gothic Knights and #11 Sacred Heart University.
The Aggies fell to the host, 35-15, and to the Pioneers, 45-2. In the final bout of the day, Sacred Heart defeated Jersey City, 28-16.
DelVal lost three matches by fall in the opener and the rest of the matches were settled by forfeit. Against the Pioneers, Bridgette Schoultz scored a point in a 12-4 loss by decision and Olivia Kinder scored a point in a 12-7 setback.
Women's wrestling will be off for the holidays and resume wrestling on January 13 at Western New England.
