PRINCETON (Nj.)--- Bridgette Schoultz led the Delaware Valley women's wrestling team with a fifth place finish at 123 pounds at the Princeton Open on Sunday, as the Aggies kicked off the 2022-23 season.
After dropping her first match, Schoultz bounced back in the first round of the consolation bracket with a pin at 1:43. She continued on into the next round to pick up her second win of the day in dominating fashion, an 11-0 tech fall in 1:56. The win advanced her to the consolation semifinals where she dropped a 9-3 decision. The senior concluded her day on a positive note, picking up a win by fall in just 15 seconds to secure fifth place.
Lilly Kinder, Nicole Shisler, Makenna Cooper, Gigi Lee, Lilly Kinder and Caira Jaynes also competed in the team's first tournament of the season.
DelVal will travel to Ursinus on Sunday, November 13th for a tri-match with the host Bears and Alvernia University at 12 p.m.
