DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University women's wrestling team brought five Aggies to compete at the first annual Ursinus Women's Wrestling Scramble on Saturday.
The inaugural event featured women's wrestlers from Alvernia, Cedar Crest, Delaware Valley, and Ursinus. Senior Bridgette Schoultz, and first-year Lilly Kinder went undefeated on the day. Schoultz, a returning 2021-2022 national qualifier from Bensalem Pennsylvania, won her first match by fall, and edged out a close 4-2 decision in her final match.
"It was awesome to see the hard work pay off as some of the girls got their first wins of the season or college careers today," said Schoultz.
Kinder, a first-year from Meadville, Pennsylvania, won all three of her matches by fall. Junior Caira Janes went 2-1, notching two pins. Sophomore Gigi Lee lost her first match 10-0 and dropped her second match by fall. Junior Makenna Cooper dropped her only match of the day by fall. The Aggies will be back in action December 11th at the Nassau open in Garden City, New York.
