BETHLEHEM (PA)--- The Delaware Valley men's and women's track and field indoor teams traveled to the Moravian Indoor Meet at Lehigh University's Rauch Fieldhouse for their third meet of the season and saw seven student-athletes qualify for the MAC Championships with stellar performances.
Messiah Smythe got the day started off strong, setting a PR of 7.28 in the men's 60 meter run, good for a fifth place finish out of 12 runners. The first-year then went on to take home third place out of 32 competitors in the men's 200 meter run, clocking in a time of 23.57. In the 400 meter, Smythe finished in ninth out of 32 runners with a PR of 53.10.
Logan Cooper, Matthew O'Dunlami, Ethan Berberabe and Justin Rosenberger also competed in the 400 meter, with Cooper clocking a 51.88, giving the senior a third place result. O'Dunlami finished in 14th with a 54.28.
O'Dunlami also took part in the men's 200 meter run, finishing in 11th place with a time of 24.29.
Justin Kaufman etched his name into the Aggie record book as he ran the fastest time in the 800 meter run with a 2:01.53. The time was a PR for Kaufman and gave him a third place finish out of 24 runners.
Brandon Perot finished in 14th out of 24 in the men's shot put, with a throw of 12.47m, narrowly missing out on the final group.
In the women's 800 meter run, Alysia Joseph recorded a PR of 1:05.07 to give her an 8th place finish out of 25 competitors.
Sarah Mullen competed in the women's 60 meter hurdles, earning a personal-best of 10.03, giving her a 5th place result out of 23 hurdlers.
