Four Aggies Break School Records as Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Competes at Utica

UTICA (NY)--- The Delaware Valley men's and women's track and field teams traveled to Utica College Saturday and came home with four new school records.

On the men's side, Ethan Berberabe broke the Aggie record in the 1,000 meter run with a time of 3:10.11. Justin Kaufman brown his own record in the 800 meter run by running a 2:02.04. In the 500 meter dash, Justin Rosenberger ran a 1:25.58 to sit alone at the top of the DelVal record book. For the women, Grace Kane broke the school record in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.17.

Kaufman's 800 meter time placed him fourth out of 30 competitors while Kane's 60 meter dash time was good for a fourth place finish out of eight runners.

In the women's 200 meter dash, Kane took home first place with a time of 27.25, the lone first place finisher for the Aggies on the day.

Logan Cooper turned in a successful day, as the senior took home fourth place in the men's 400 meter dash with a time of 52.30 and tenth in the men's 200 meter dash with a time of 23.71.

Messiah Smythe placed fourth in the men's 200 meter dash out of 50 runners, running a 23.34.

Jonathan St. Hilaire ran a 7.17 in the men's 60 meter dash, good for a third place finish.

In the men's shot put, Brandon Perot took home a fourth place finish with a throw of 12.65 meters.

Alysia Joseph finished in tenth place in the women's 400 meter dash with a time of 1:06.93 and Kelly Hastings was close behind in 14th place with a time of 1:08.22.

In team scoring, the men finished in ninth place while the women finished in 14th.

The Aggies will be back in action Saturday, January 22 at the Moravian Indoor Meet.
